We design and create long lasting, high quality, handmade products.
We believe in creating and sustaining established, long term relationships with the people we work with. We do this by working side by side with all our manufacturers and ensuring there is a open, continuous dialog at every stage.
Sustainability and being environmentally responsible are part of our main objectives. Manufacturing and design go hand in hand as two parallel lines do, with that they are both a long term process. Being environmentally responsible means that each and every step throughout our design process is well calculated and strategically managed.
Our products comply with the European directives and regulations such as Washington Declaration for wood and waste products; electrical and electronic equipment. We normally use FSC wood and some of our products such as Balata, M14 and M22 are made from reclaimed materials.
Our manufacturing method is to generate every quarter a small batch of inventory which allows us quality assurance throughout the production and assembly process. This process also gives us room to respond to our clients requests which at the same time keeps stock at a reasonable level.
Our products are made in many different countries across the world – we choose a manufacturer by their production experience and manufacturing technology. As an example, our wooden trays are handmade by Arytrays from a single sheet of birch wood in north Sweden by an established family run business.
Our Cubo Light is hand crafted in Bristol, England by Richard Stokes, a former tree surgeon, who creates objects using wood rather than the timber ending up as firewood. Our M14, M22 and Balata rulers are all made from reclaimed Caesarstone™ material from their local factory based in Netanya, Israel.
