Schneid stands for a Scandinavian way of thinking: Our designs have formal purity, functionality and a minimalist approach. The ideas to our products and objects come in a very natural way and are mainly due to our feelings of aesthetics, proportions and shapes.
Niklas Jessen is a trained carpenter and architect. During his studies of architecture in Lübeck, he found his fascination for the interior design. In 2012 he therefore founded together with Julia Mülling the company Schneid Lightings & Furniture and has been developing interior furniture and lighting since then.
Julia Mülling first studied literature in Berlin, but was also passionate about art and design. This feeling for form and the comprehension for the visual arts and design wouldn't let go of her and she started with Niklas Jessen at Schneid Lightings & Furniture in 2012. She has been defining and developing forms and concepts at Schneid ever since and studies design at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg.
