Grace Souky is a Venezuelan born, London based product and furniture designer with a flair for strong colours and simple forms.
She completed her Master’s degree in Industrial Design at the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York in 2009, and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas. Her studies and interest in lifestyle design led her to work on projects for furniture and interior design companies such as Jonathan Adler and West Elm.
In 2010, she founded Boulevard 03, a design studio in Caracas, Venezuela focusing on product, furniture and interior architecture. Under her direction the company launched a series of pieces inspired by local craftsmanship with a contemporary design aesthetics.
She is currently developing new designs under her label Grace Souky in her studio in East London. Her signature style reveals a love for detail, colour and geometry. Clean lines and a mixture of natural materials like wood, stone and metal, inspire her pieces. Grace is passionate about storytelling and how people interact with things, mindful of the communicative nature of design.
Her designs have been featured in exhibitions throughout Latin America, United States and Europe.
