Kukka Studio are delighted to announce details of their upcoming installation 'Blocks' due to be unveiled at Fresh Paint Contemporary Art & Design Fair in Tel Aviv, Israel from 28th March to 1st April 2017 in collaboration with Amorim Cork and The British Council Israel.
“We are pleased to announce that Fresh Paint art fair’s curators have chosen to present the design project Blocks at Fresh Paint 9. We would be honoured to show Rona Meyuchas-Koblenz's work at this year's fair"
- Yifat Gurion, Art Director & Head Curator, Fresh Paint Art Fair
"I am excited to have the opportunity to collaborate again this year with Amorim; Cork is such an inspiring material for me to work with."
We were inspired by the architectural topography of the Natural History museum building and the topography found in nature.
Working with Cork; inspired us to use the raw material from the Amorim factory and to create a large, communal, playful seating area.
We have used 108 cork blocks, 94 x 64 x 20 cm, made from three different composites: small granulates, large granulates and dark cork, creating a topographic layout positioned in the centre of the amphitheatre.
